Maura Gartland (née Foley) Ballybrack, Hacketstown, Co. Carlow – 16th January 2026 peacefully at Naas Hospital surrounded by her loving family; predeceased by her loving husband Nicholas and infant daughter Meabh, parents Patrick and Mary (Foley), brothers Sean, Peadar and Fr. Brendan and sister Mairead.

 

Sadly missed by her loving sons Matthew, Tony and Noel, daughters Ann, Brenda, Eimer and Cora, sons-in-law, daughters-in-law, her 8 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren, brother Conleth, sisters Breed and Sr. Maria (Shiela) nieces, nephews, neighbours, relatives and friends.

 

May Maura’s Gentle Soul Rest In Peace.

 

Reposing at Halligan’s Funeral Home, Station Road, Rathvilly (Eircode R93 C560) on Sunday from 2pm with removal from there at 5pm sharp for private reposal.

 

Funeral arriving to St. Brigid’s Church, Hacketstown on Monday morning for 11am Requiem Mass after which she will be laid to rest in Hacketstown Cemetery.
