Maura Gilroy
(née Colgan)

The death has occurred of Maura Gilroy (nee Colgan), Clonmellon Road, Delvin, Co. Westmeath and formerly of Clonbun, Trim, Co. Meath on the 31st January 2026, peacefully in the care of her family and the staff at St. Elizabeth's Nursing Home, Athboy.

Predeceased by her husband Billy and son Michael.

Maura will be sadly missed by her family, daughters Laura, Mary, June and Hilary, sons Eamon and Derek, sons-in-law Padraic, Nobby, John and Jim, daughters-in-law Kathleen, Margaret and Patricia, her 17 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren, nephews, nieces, extended family, neighbours and friends.

May Her Gentle Soul Rest in Peace.

Reposing at Mullen's Funeral Home, O'Growney St., Athboy (Eircode C15KW58) this Monday evening from 5pm followed by prayers at 7pm.

Funeral Mass on Tuesday at 12 noon in the Church of the Assumption, Delvin followed by burial in the local cemetery.

The family wish to thank the doctors and nurses at Midlands Regional Hospital, Mullingar and the amazing staff in St. Elizabeth's Nursing Home for their wonderful care given to Maura while in their care.
