Maura Herlihy
(née O Sullivan)

Maura Herlihy (nee O’Sullivan), Boherbue, Cahersiveen,passed away on 21st November 2025, following a long illness borne with inimitable strength and courage.

Maura was in her 81st year and sadly leaves behind her husband, Patrick. She is predeceased by her parents Micheal and Maureen O’Sullivan, her brother Patrick and her goodfriend Breda Bergin. Maura will be deeply missed by her brothers Jack and James, her sisters-in-law Josie, Genie, Kathleen and Catherine, her nephews Micheál, Fr. Brendan and Diarmuid, her nieces Marie, Ciara, Michelle, Eugenie and Lisha, and her wider extended family. Maura will also be missed by her dear friend Mary Falvey and a wide circle of wonderful friends in Killarney and Cahersiveen.

Her family would like to express the deepest of gratitude to those in the Health Services who supported her over the past year, especially the staff at the UHK Specialist Palliative Care In Patient Unit, who cared for her with such compassion in her final days.

Rest in Peace

Maura will repose at Daly’s Funeral Home, East End, Cahersiveen on Sunday 23rd November from 5.30pm to 7.30pm before removal to Daniel O’Connell Memorial Church. Mass to celebrate Maura’s life will take place at 11am on Monday November 24th, before burial in Keelavarnogue Cemetery.
