Maura Lydon
(née Farrelly)
MAURA LYDON (nee FARRELLY), Gortacornaun, Rosscahill, Co. Galway on the 9th of August, 2021. It is with deep sadness that we announce the unexpected passing of our beloved mother and Mamó Maura. She will be deeply missed by her children Loretta, Daniel, Alan, and Jamie, her partner Tom, grandchildren Aaron, Shane, Hannah, Marie Claire, Leanna, and baby Isabelle. Her mother Josie, brothers, sisters, Seamus, extended family and friends. Remembering also her late daughter Gillian, now together in heaven.

Maura's funeral cortege will leave her home on Thursday the 12th of August to arrive at Killannin Church for a private funeral Mass at 12 o'clock. Burial immediately afterwards in adjoining cemetery.
Due to ongoing government restrictions and public health guidelines around social gatherings, the funeral will be held privately. In line with the family’s wishes, anybody attending the Mass will be on a list compiled by them to help with contact tracing, as recommended by government guidelines. If you choose to attend the burial or stand in a guard of honour, please maintain social distancing and avoid hand shaking for the safety of all in attendance. Your presence is an acceptance of condolence to the family. Those who wish to may also leave a message of condolence below.
