Maura McKevitt (née Murphy), The Glade, Athenry, Co. Galway and formerly Dundalk, Co. Louth and Macroom, Co. Cork on the 27th May 2024.

Maura passed peacefully from this life surrounded by her loving family in the wonderful care of the staff of the Galway Hospice.

Maura will be deeply missed by her children Karen (O’Reilly), Fergal, Sonia (McGovern) and Karl, their father, Colm, sons in-law, John and Patrick, daughters in-law, Anne and Siobhain, her adored grandchildren, her sisters, Elma and Kathleen, her brothers, Teddy and John and her wonderful neighbours and friends.

Reposing at her daughter’s home, Stonehaven, Athenry, Co. Galway (H65 C954) on Wednesday 29th May from 4pm to 8pm. Arriving to the Church of The Assumption, Athenry on Thursday 30th May for Funeral Mass at 12 noon. Mass will be live streamed on the following link https://churchmedia.tv/st-marys-parish-1 and listened to on Parish radio 106.5fm. Cremation will take place at Shannon Crematorium on Friday 31st May at 2pm.

The family will be forever grateful to the staff of the Galway Hospice, the Galway Clinic and Athenry Cancer Care for the kindness and support they provided to Maura.
