The death has occurred of Maura Rooney (née Greene) of The Moorings, Ballina & formerly of "Rosslare Strand" Co. Wexford. Peacefully at the Moyridge Nurning Home, Ballina. Maura, predeceased by her husband Sean and loving mother of Colette Bourke (Knockmore), Declan & Deirdre Hegarty (Lahardane). Sadly missed by her son, daughters, sons-in-law Gabriel & JJ, grandchildren Laura, Leona, Sean, Jillian, Conor & Niall, relatives and friends.

Reposing at McGowan's Funeral Home, Ballina on Wednesday from12noon with removal at 1:15pm to St Muredach's Cathedral, Ballina arriving for requiem Mass at 1.30pm with funeral proceeding to Leigue Cemetery, Ballina. Funeral Mass will be live streamed at www.ballinaparish.org
Due to current restrictions and guidelines Maura’s funeral Mass will be private to family and close friends only. Family flowers only please, donations, if desired, to Western Alzheimer’s Association c/o Mc Gowan’s funeral home, Ballina.
