Maureen Cooney, (née Brennan), Westfield, Kilkenny and formerly of Massford, Castlecomer, Co. Kilkenny.
Peacefully, surrounded by her loving family at St. Luke’s Hospital, Kilkenny on Friday, 9th January 2026.
Pre-deceased by her parents and her sister Sheila Gleeson.
Deeply regretted and sadly missed by her sorrowing family, her husband Frank, her loving son and daughter, son-in-law, her brothers Kieran and Tommy, her sister Breda (Murphy), sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives, neighbours and friends.

Reposing at Johnston’s Funeral Home, John’s Green, Kilkenny (Eircode R95 XE00) on Sunday, 11th January from 4pm concluding with Rosary and Vigil Prayers at 6pm.
Funeral arriving to St. Patrick’s Church, Clogh (Eircode R95 DXE4), for Requiem Mass on Monday, 12th January at 11am.
Burial will follow afterwards in Crosshill Cemetery, Castlecomer.
