The death has occurred of Maureen FitzGerald, Murroe and Abington Co. Limerick

(retired Principal Murroe National School). 25th October 2025

Maureen passed peacefully at her home in Murroe, surrounded by family and dear friends.

Predeceased by her parents Francis and Margaret (nee Corboy), her brothers John, Patrick, Michael, Francis and beloved friend Joe.

Maureen will be sadly missed and fondly remembered by her nieces and nephews and their families in Dublin, Limerick, and California, her wonderful neighbours the Kennedys who cared for her so well and a large circle of friends far and near. Rest in Peace

Reposing at Meehan’s Funeral Home, Newport, Co Tipperary (V94 A9Y5) on Monday 27th October, 2025 from 5:30pm – 7:00pm. Funeral arriving on Tuesday 28th October, 2025 to the Church of the Holy Rosary, Murroe, (V94 PY97) for Requiem Mass at 11:30am, followed by burial at Abington Cemetery.
