Maureen MacCarthy
(née Murphy)
On July 25th, 2024, MAUREEN passed peacefully at Bantry General Hospital, following a short illness, with her beloved children Colm, Claire and Laura by her side. Dear sister of Julie (O’Sullivan, Valentia Island), Tony, the late Dan Joe and John. She will be forever missed by her seven treasured granddaughters Ruby, Clíodhna, Daisy, Aoibhín, Saoirse, Alannah and Méabh, her sister-in-law Sheila Murphy, brother-in-law Diarmuid MacCarthy and his wife Rita, Colm’s partner Patricia, dear family friend AnnMarie Kingston, nephews, nieces, extended family and a wide circle of great friends and colleagues past and present from her many years in business.

Reposing at Glengarriff Park Hotel on Sunday, July 28th, from 5pm to 8pm. Maureen's funeral cortege will leave Glengarriff Park Hotel on Monday, July 29th, at 10.30am approx. to Sacred Heart Church, Glengarriff with requiem Mass at 11.30am (to view live stream please click here) followed by burial in the local cemetery.
