Maureen (Mary) Birmingham
(née Collins)
BIRMINGHAM (Cork) On 7th January 2023, peacefully, in the presence of her loving family at the Cork University Hospital, MAUREEN (MARY, nee Collins), Wolfe Tone Street and late of Lady’s Well Place, Leitrim Street. Dearly beloved wife of the late Garrett and much loved mother of Martina (Hooley), Ann, Cathy, Garrett and the late Tom, devoted nan of Maria, Gearóid, Siobhan, Marcus, Louise, Róisín, Emer, Rachel and Sarah-Kate, loving great grandnan of Evelyn, Mia, Teddy and Odhrán, dearest sister of Dan and the late Kathleen, John, Joan and Michael.
Sadly missed by her heartbroken family, sons-in-law John and Michael, daughters-in-law Helen and Shirley, nephews, nieces, relatives, neighbours and friends.
Reposing at Coughlan’s Funeral Home, Shandon Street on Wednesday (11th January) from 10.00am, family in attendance from 4.00pm with Rosary at 5.00pm. Requiem Mass on Thursday (12th January) at 11.00am in the North Cathedral. If you wish to view the Mass, click on http://www.corkcathedral.ie and follow link. Funeral afterwards to St. Finbarr’s Cemetery, Glasheen Road. Family flowers only. Donations, if desired, to Cork University Hospital, Blackwater Suite.
