Maureen McHugh
(née Barrett)
Maureen McHugh (nee Barrett) Old Deerpark, Ballyfin, Co. Laois and formerly of Derrynameel, Barnatra, Ballina, Co. Mayo passed away on the 27th of December 2022 in the loving care of the staff at St.Brigid's Community Nursing Home, Shaen, Co. Laois.
Beloved daughter of the late John and Katie Barrett. Predeceased by her brother Paul and niece Mary.
Wife of Michael McHugh. Deeply regretted by her sons John Joe and his wife Mary, Michael Anthony and his partner Sharon, Thomas Patrick and his partner Leona, grandchildren Isobel, Roise, Iarlaith, Ellamae and Sonny, brothers John (Manchester, U.K.) and Michael (Scotland), sisters Kathleen Linnane (Derrynameel) and Sadie Monaghan (Bangor Erris), brother-in-law Martin, nieces and nephews, neighbours, relatives and her many friends.
May Maureen’s Kind and Gentle Soul Rest In Peace
Reposing at Moloneys Funeral Home Mountmellick on Thursday evening from 9pm with recital of the Rosary at 10pm.
Reposing at Healy’s Funeral Home, Barnatra on Friday evening the 30th of December from 5 o clock until 7 o clock.
Maureen’s funeral Cortège will arrive at Our Lady of Lourdes Church, Glencastle on Saturday for Funeral Mass at 12 noon. Interment will take place afterwards in Glencastle Old Cemetery.
