Maureen Merne (née Byrne), 16 Sycamore Road, Rathnapish, Carlow, December 29th 2025, slipped away peacefully in her sleep in her 103rd year. Predeceased by her husband George, daughter Joan and son Peter.

Sadly missed and never forgotten by her loving son Michael, daughters Ann, Jacqueline and Olive, sons-in-law Peter, Karl, Gerry and Tom, daughter-in-law Mercedes, grandchildren Emma, Sarah, Diego, Lara, Seán, Sarah-Jessica, Elena and Hanh, step-grandchildren Sinead, Derek and Donal, her 11 great-grandchildren, nephews, nieces, relatives and friends.

May Maureen Sleep in Heavenly Peace.

Reposing in R. Healy & Son Funeral Home Pollerton Castle, Carlow on Friday (Jan 2nd) from 5pm to 7pm. Removal on Saturday morning to the Church of the Holy Family, Askea to arrive for funeral Mass at 11am. Burial afterwards in St. Mary’s Cemetery
