Late of Clash West, Tralee, and formerly of Knocknagoshel, Co. Kerry.

 

Maureen died peacefully in the devoted care of her family and the staff of St. Louis Nursing Home, Tralee on the 23rd February.

 

Predeceased by her beloved husband Seán and her parents William and Ellen Herlihy.

 

Dearly loved and deeply missed by her loving family - her children John, Fergal, Ciarán and Aoife, her daughters-in-law Marlies, Tara and Ciara, her son-in-law John Bowe, her adored grandchildren Cormac, Ella, Scotia, Niamh, Kate, Seán, John Bowe Jnr and Hannah, her brothers and sisters Billy, Johnny, Pat, Sheila, Phil and Eileen, brothers in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbours, a wide circle of friends, and not forgetting her dog Moses, a constant companion over many years.

The family wish to sincerely thank the staff of St. Louis Nursing Home for the exceptional kindness, dignity and care shown to Maureen, and to the Palliative Care Team, her doctors, O’Donoghue’s Pharmacy and carers who supported her in recent years.

 

Maureen will repose at McElligott’s Funeral Home, Tralee, on Tuesday from 6.00PM 8.00PM. Funeral arriving to St. John’s Church, Tralee, on Wednesday at 11.30AM where the Requiem Mass for Maureen will be celebrated at 12 noon (streamed on www.stjohns.ie). Interment afterwards in Rath Cemetery, Tralee.

 

Family flowers only please. Donations, if desired, to Recovery Haven, a charity close to Maureen’s heart @ Donate - Recovery Haven or care of McElligott’s Funeral Home, Tralee.
