(née O'Sullivan)
Maureen Scallan (née O'Sullivan) King Edward Lawn, Bray, Co. Wicklow and formerly of Mountcollins, Co. Limerick, at St. Vincent's University Hospital, February 13th 2024 Sadly missed by her three sons, Columba, Ciaran and Finian, her sister Noreen, brother Phillip, daughters-in-law/partner Gillian, Maire and Kathy, grandchildren Ella and Lucy, nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Predeceased by her sister Nollaig and brother Eamonn.
Maureen was a school teacher at St. Peter's Boy's National school. She also taught in London and Northern Ireland. She had a life long love of gardening and was a keen bridge player, a bibliophile, archeologist, and a proud Irish speaker.
Reposing at Thomas Murphy and Sons Funeral Home, Boghall Road, Bray (A98 R673) on Tuesday, 20th February, from 6pm to 7pm. Requiem Mass on Wednesday, 21st February, at 10am in the Church of The Most Holy Redeemer, Main Street, Bray, followed by Cremation in the Garden Chapel, Mount Jerome Crematorium. Family flowers only by request.
