Maureen Thornton née McCabe, Ballsgrove, Drogheda, Co. Louth and formerly of Hinches Lane, Drogheda. 12th January 2026. Peacefully at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital, surrounded by her loving family. Predeceased by her husband Oliver, sisters Nancy and Olive, brothers Patrick and Sean. Beloved mother of Martin, Marian, Brenda, Ged, Ann-marie, Lily, Susan and Barry. Maureen will be sadly missed by her sons, daughters, daughters-in-law Maureen and Hayley, sons-in-law Fred and Gerard, her 26 grandchildren, 36 great-grandchildren and her great-great granddaughter, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, relatives and friends.

 

May Maureen Rest in Peace.

 

Reposing at her Home A92 F3FC on Wednesday from 4pm until 8pm. Funeral Mass will take place on Thursday at 1pm in Holy Family Church, Ballsgrove with burial afterwards in Calvary Cemetery.
