Maurice Dowling

Maurice Dowling, 29th August 2021, aged 87, 143 Chestnut Grove, Castlebar, formally of Ardfert, Co. Kerry, retired member of An Garda Síochána, peacefully  in Mayo University Hospital, Castlebar, after a short illness. Predeceased by his parents Bertie and Lena and his sister Sarah Fitzgerald. Deeply regretted by his heartbroken wife Patsy, and children Helena Shanahan (Dublin), Francis (New York), Trisha Ramkelawon (Derby, UK), Mossie (Tipperary), Bertie (Ballyheane), sister, Sheila Keane (Kerry), son-in-law Colm, daughters–in-law Jackie, Maggie, Geraldine, 18 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren, nephews, nieces, neighbours, extended family and friends. 

Rest in Peace Maurice

Reposing at his residence in Chestnut Grove, Castlebar this Tuesday from 5pm to 7pm, for family, neighbours and close friends, with private removal on Wednesday at 1.15pm to the Church of the Holy Rosary, Castlebar, for Funeral Mass at 2pm (via Spencer Street). Maurice will be laid to rest afterwards in Castlebar New Cemetery.
