Maurice Lawlor

The death has occurred of Maurice Lawlor of Ballymacquin, Ardfert, Co Kerry and Leytonstone, London. Maurice died peacefully at his London nursing home on 17 October with family present.

Maurice was the youngest surviving child of Moss and Bridie Lawlor and brother to Tom, Paddy, Jack, Joan, Peg, Diarmuid, Maisie, Kitty and Betty. Maurice lived a long, happy and social life and will be greatly missed by his nieces, nephews, other family and friends, including those in the Leytonstone area where he spent many eventful decades. Maurice's warmth, energy, generosity and positivity touched everyone who met him.

Maurice’s family wish to acknowledge and give thanks to the nursing staff and carers at Cambridge Nursing Home and George Mason Lodge where he happily spent the last 18 months of his life.

The private family funeral will take place at a later date at St Mary’s Church, Ballyheigue, followed by interment of his ashes in the family grave in St Mary’s Church Cemetery, Ballyheigue.

The Requiem Mass will take place, for family and those who knew Maurice Lawlor, on Thurs 4 Dec at 11am at St Mary’s Church, Ballyheigue, (streamed on Ballyheigue – Diocese of Kerry) followed by interment of his ashes in the family grave in St Mary’s Church Cemetery, Ballyheigue.
