It is with great sadness that the McCarthy family announce the tragic passing of their much loved son and beloved brother Maurice.

Who died on Monday 8th April 2024, tragically in Geraldine, South Canterbury, New Zealand

Aged 25 years.

Predeceased by his grandparents Jimmy and Anna McCarthy (Farnogue, Bigwood) and his grandfather Maurice Harney (Graiguerush, Kilmacthomas, Co. Waterford).

Treasured son of Sean and Eleanor (Née Harney), he will be sadly missed by his heartbroken sister Anne Marie (Healy) and brothers Martin, James, John and Rory, sister-in-law Tegan, brother-in-law Thomas, adored grandson of Bridget (Harney), uncles Patrick, Val and Maurice Austin, aunts Lynda and Anne, niece Ava, nephew Sean, cousins, all at Woodley's Agricultural, extended family, neighbours and Maurice's many friends.

MAY MAURICE REST IN PEACE

Maurice will be reposing in his home, on Tuesday, 23rd April, from 12noon concluding with prayers at 8pm. Maurice's removal will take place on Wednesday, 24th April, walking from his home to St. Beacon's Church, Mullinavat, arriving for Requiem Mass at 2pm after which Maurice will be laid to rest in the adjoining cemetery.
