Maurice (Mossie) Twomey

TWOMEY (Cork) On 21st December 2025, unexpectedly, but peacefully, surrounded by his loving family and in the tender care of the staff of the Mercy University Hospital, MAURICE (MOSSIE), Upper Barrack View, Off Roman Street and late Painter, Glen Rovers Hurling Club and St. Nicholas Gaelic Football Club. Dearly beloved husband of Mary (nee O’Connor) and much loved father of Frank, Robert, Mary, Rosemarie, Catherine and the late Christopher, devoted granda of Ryan, Sarim, Saoirse and Kameel, great granda of Teddy. Loving son of the late Frank and Catherine, dearest brother of Denis and the late Frank, Chrissy and Mar.

Sadly missed by his loving wife, family, sons-in-law Noel and Farahn, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, relatives, neighbours and friends.

Reposing at Coughlan’s Funeral Home, Shandon Street on Tuesday (23rd December) at 11.00am, family in attendance from 5.00pm with Rosary at 6.00pm.
