(née Motherway)

AHERN (Church Street, Cloyne) on October 24th 2021 peacefully in the presence of her loving family in the tender care of the staff of Our Lady of Lourdes Community Hospital, Midleton. MAY (née Motherway), beloved wife of the late Willie, beloved mother of Séan, Mary (Rohan), Bernard and the late Evelyn, sister of Séan and the late Ted, mother in law of the late Paddy (Rohan). Sadly missed by her loving sons, daughter, daughters in law Orla (Colgan) and Elizabeth (Liz Kelleher), fond grandchildren Deirdre, Áine, Darragh, Bill, Lisa, Evelyn and Diarmuid, great-grandson Liam, sisters in law Peggy and Betsy, nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews, relatives, neighbours and friends.

Funeral venues are currently using restricted capacity, at the discretion of the venue and within its social distancing requirements. Anyone attending a funeral is required to adhere to continuing guidance regarding social distancing.

May’s funeral will take place in line with continuing guidance and restrictions as largely a family occasion. The CONDOLENCES link is open below if you wish to send a message to the family and will be welcomed.

Requiem Mass on Thursday 28th at 2pm in St Colman’s Church, Cloyne followed by burial in the adjoining cemetery.
