The death has occurred of
May (Mary B.) O'Donoghue
On October 7th, 2024, in her 100th year, in the presence of her family, MAY (retired S.R.N.), beloved daughter of the late Jack and Molly, dear sister of Denis, Connie, Joan (Murphy), Finbarr, Jerry, the late Johnny, Ellen (Flanagan) and Peggy (Sweeny) peacefully passed away. Sadly, missed by her loving family, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, grandnephews, grandnieces, relatives, kind neighbours and friends.
May she rest in peace.
A special thanks to the staff of Deerpark Nursing Home for their tender care and to her sister-in-law and friend, Anne.
Reposing at Gortalassa Old School House (G.O.S.H) P75 C589 on Wednesday, Oct. 9th, from 4 pm to 7pm with vigil prayers at 7pm. Requiem Mass on Thursday, Oct. 10th, at 12noon in St Finbarr’s Church, Bantry (to view live stream please click here) followed by burial in the Abbey Cemetery. Family flowers only. Donations in lieu, if desired, to Gortalassa Old School Restoration Fund.
