May Molloy
(née Higgins)

The death has occurred of May Molloy (née Higgins) Ower, Headford, Co. Galway and formerly of St. Mary’s Road, Shrule, Co. Mayo. Predeceased by her husband John.

 

She died peacefully on the 29th June 2025 at Galway Hospice surrounded by her loving family. Her loss is deeply felt by her beloved daughters Mary, Kaye, Julie, Margaret, Bernadette, Martha and Cora; sons Pat, Michael and Sean; sons-in-law Martin, Bill, Jan and David, daughters-in-law Philomena, Pauline and Susy.

 

Grandchildren Jonathan, Conor, Daniel, Karla, Moya, Joseph, Nathan, Grace, Freya, Elliott and Mikey. Great-grandchildren Column, Ava and Fiachra; brother John (New York), sister-in-law Nora Higgins (Shrule), nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives, neighbours and friends.

Funeral Arrangements:

 

Wednesday 2nd July 2025

Reposing at Carey’s Funeral Home, Headford (H91 E6X9) from 6:30pm-8:00pm, followed by removal to St Mary’s Church, Claran.

 

Thursday 3rd July 2025

Requiem Mass in St Mary’s Church Claran at 12 noon with burial afterwards in Killursa cemetery. Mass can be viewed live on www.churchtv.ie/claran or Headford Parish Facebook page.
