The death has occurred of
Mel Doherty
Mel Doherty, 28th August, 2023, Gortnakesh, and formerly St. Brigid's Terrace, Cavan. Passed away peacefully, surrounded by his loving family, in the wonderful care of the staff of St. Vincent's Ward, The Mater Hospital, Dublin. Predeceased by his father Joe, mother Rose, brothers Seán and Kevin, and sisters Mary Jo, Margaret, Kathleen, Roseann, Bridie, and Agnes. Deeply regretted by his loving wife, Rosaleen, daughter Anita (Cathal), sons Neil (Elaine), Mel (Olivia), Joseph (Helen), Philip (Siobhán), his adored grandchildren, Clodagh, Gearóid, Callum, Adam, Aoife, Tom, Charlie, Ava, Emma, and Frank. Sadly missed by all his nieces and nephews, extended family, neighbours, community and large circle of friends.
May He Rest in Peace and live long in our memories.
Reposing at his home in Gortnakesh, Cavan, Eircode H12E893, Wednesday, 30th August, 4 pm - 9 pm. Removal from his home to the Cathedral of St. Patrick and St. Felim, (Cavan Cathedral), for requiem Mass on Thursday, 31st August, at 11 am.
