The death has occurred of Mena Thornton (née Brennan), Carrickatee, Loughmourne, Castleblayney, and formerly of Drumberagh, Lisdoonan, Co. Monaghan, peacefully at her residence surrounded by her loving family after a short illness, Sunday 24th March 2024. Predeceased by her parents Brian and Mary Brennan and her brothers Jemmy and Kevin. Deeply loved and sadly missed by her husband Michael, her family Barry, Caroline, Charlene, Michelle and Brian-Michael, adored grandchildren Leroy-Jay, Lola-Joy, Ailbhe, Joe, Maggie, Pearl and Beth, daughters-in-law Ciara and Sally, sons-in-law Paul, John and Paddy, beloved sister of Brian (Australia), John (Drumberagh), Mary (Milton Keynes), sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nephews, nieces, relatives, neighbours and friends.

Ar dheis Dé go raibh a hanam

Reposing at Deery’s Funeral Home, Carrickmacross (A81 C653) on Monday afternoon from 4pm to 8pm. Removal from her residence on Tuesday morning to arrive at St Mary’s Church, Carrickatee (A75 DP97) for Requiem Mass at 11am. Burial afterwards in adjoining cemetery.
