Michael (better known as Mick) Byrne, Robeen (Cuillaun), Hollymount, Co. Mayo. Passed peacefully after a short illness in the exceptional care of the staff at Mayo University Hospital Castlebar surrounded by his loving family on 26th August 2025.
Predeceased by his parents John and May (nee Reilly)
Michael will be sadly missed by his heartbroken family, beloved wife Mary (nee Farragher) , his five daughters Catherine (Ballindine), Brigid (Kenmare), Mary (Castlebar), Anne (Ballyvary) and Edel (Tramore), Sons in laws P.J.Fahy (Ballindine), David O’ Sullivan,(Kenmare), Ivor Hamrock (Castlebar), cherished grandchildren Michael, James and Laura, brothers -in- law Patrick, John and Jimmy, sisters -in- law Sr Anne and Peggy. His cousins, members of the Langan family (Claren) and Byrne family (Woodpark). Very dear friends and kind neighbours and the wider community. Nurses and carers at Hollymount Nursing home.
May His Kind and Gentle Soul Rest in Peace.
Reposing at Fr. Paddy’s House Robeen, (F12 EH57) on Friday evening (29th August) from 6pm with removal at 7:30pm to Our Lady of Sorrows Church, Robeen (F12EH57). Requiem Mass on Saturday (30th August) at 12 noon, with the funeral proceeding to Robeen Cemetery.
