The death has occurred of
Michael C. Twomey
On February 17th, 2026, unexpectedly but peacefully, surrounded by his family and in the exceptional care of the staff of the Mercy University Hospital, Cork, Michael (Mick), Barrachaurin, son of the late Con and Kate Twomey, brother of the late John Joe, and brother-in-law of the late Pat and John. Sadly missed by his loving family: sisters Nell (Crowley) and Kathleen (O’Leary), brother Neilus (Con), sisters-in-law Maureen and Sheila, nephews, nieces, grandnephews, grandnieces, great-grandniece, relatives, neighbours, and a large circle of friends.

Reposing in St. Joseph’s Church, Fornaught (P32 P529), on Friday from 5.00 p.m., followed by prayers at 7.00 p.m. Requiem Mass in St. Joseph’s Church, Fornaught, on Saturday at 12 noon which can be viewed live on the link below. Burial afterwards in the cemetery adjoining St. Lachteen’s Church, Donoughmore P32 H673.
Michael’s family would like to take this opportunity to thank the staff of Cork University Hospital and the staff of the Mercy University Hospital, Cork, for the exceptional care shown to Michael.
