Michael Canniffe

Canniffe (Knockaveale, Gaggin, Bandon) on August 8th, 2025, peacefully, surrounded by his loving family, at the Bon Secours Hospital, Cork. Michael, beloved husband of Kay (nee Murphy) and adoring father of Tadhg and Maria. Predeceased by his beloved son Denis, his parents Patrick and Nancy, his brother Tadhg, and his aunts and uncles.

Deeply regretted by his loving wife, son, daughter, daughter-in-law Olivia (Deasy), son-in-law Pierce (Stakelum), brothers Patrick, Gerard and Anthony, sisters Nora and Bernadette, grandchildren James, Joe, Tess, Jerry, Nancy, Rose and Sophie, brothers-in-law Tom, Jeremiah, Denis, Jerry, Ted and John, sisters-in-law Noreen, Sheila, Mary and Vera, all his nephews, nieces, grandnephews, grandnieces, extended family, friends and neighbours.

Michael will be lying in repose at his residence in Knockaveale (eircode P72C970) on Sunday from 3pm followed by prayers at 6pm.

Requiem Mass on Monday at 12 noon in St. Patrick's Church, Bandon (family will be in attendance from 11am) which will be livestreamed on www.bandonparish.ie/live/, funeral afterwards to the adjoining Cemetery.
