Michael passed away peacefully on Friday, 27th February 2026, in the wonderful care of the University Hospital Galway.
Predeceased by his parents Pat and Nora, his Wife Noreen (O’Malley), brothers John and Tony and by his nephew Peter Tadhg.
Michael will be sadly missed by his heartbroken family, his brother Paraic, sisters; Mary, Bridie, Kathleen and Margaret, sisters-in-law Kathleen, Mary and Nora, brothers-in-law Andy, Tom, Francis, Christy, nieces, nephews, extended Concannon and O'Malley families, neighbours and friends.
The Concannon family wish to sincerely thank all those who cared for Michael during his illness, especially Eleanor McDonagh and Mary O’Malley.

Funeral Arrangements
Tuesday, 3rd March 2026 - St. Pio’s Room
Michael will repose in St. Pio’s Room, within The Sacred Heart Church, Séamus Quirke Road, from 5.30 - 7.00 with removal afterwards into the Church.
Wednesday, 4th March 2026 - The Sacred Heart Church, Séamus Quirke Road
Requiem Mass will be celebrated for Michael at 12 noon. Following Mass, he will be laid to rest in Rahoon Cemetery. The funeral Mass will be available to watch Here.
