The death has occurred of
Michael Downey
DOWNEY (Cork) On 19th January 2026, unexpectedly, but peacefully, in the presence of his loving family and in the tender care of the doctors, nurses and staff at Cork University Hospital, MICHAEL, late of Killala Gardens, Knocknaheeny. Dearly beloved husband of Theresa (nee Mullins) and much loved father of Jason, Darren and Kellie, dearest grandad of Sarah, Emma and Anna.
Sadly missed by his loving wife, sons, daughter, grandchildren, brother, sisters, son-in-law John, daughter-in-law Deborah, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, relatives, neighbours and a large circle of friends.
Reposing at Coughlan’s Funeral Home, Shandon Street on Wednesday (21st January) at 12noon, family in attendance from 4.00pm with Rosary at 5.00pm. Service on Thursday (22nd January) at 10.30am in Funeral Home, followed by removal to The Island Crematorium, Rocky Island, Ringaskiddy. No flowers by request of the family. Donations if desired, in lieu, to the Alzheimer's Society of Ireland.
