Michael Downey

Downey, Michael, late of Glasnevin and New Cabra Road - 12th July 2024 (peacefully) in his 93rd year, in the loving care of his family and the kind staff of St. Martha’s Ward, in the Mater Hospital. Michael, beloved husband of Gladys and cherished father of Carol and Janet.

Predeceased by his brother Gerard and sister Sheila.

He will be sadly missed by his wife, daughters, brothers Hubert and Bobby, sisters Joey and Betty, cousins, brothers-in-law, sister-in-law, nephews, nieces, relatives, friends, neighbours and his carers.

Reposing at the Kirwan Funeral Home, Ballygall Road West on Wednesday (17th July) from 5.00 pm to 7.00 pm. Funeral on Thursday morning (18th July) to Our Mother of Divine Grace Church, Ballygall for 10 o’clock Requiem Mass followed by burial in Dardistown Cemetery.

Family flowers only. Donations, if desired, in lieu to Sight Savers Ireland.
