Michael Gerard Casey

Casey, Michael Gerard (Sandycove, Co. Dublin; formerly New Ross, Co. Wexford, and Naas, Co. Kildare); May 22nd 2025, peacefully, surrounded by family and the caring staff of the Beacon Hospital. Greatly missed by his beloved wife Grainne. Adored and inspiring to his three sons, Rowan, Michael and Fergal and much-loved father-in-law to Helen, Robyn and Emilia. He will be fondly remembered by his dear sister Rosemary. Devoted grandfather to Isabella, Saoirse, Cian, Orlagh and Darren. He will be deeply missed by his extended family, and a circle of wonderful neighbours and friends including from the Central Bank, IMF, UCD Alumni, Cambridge University, St Stephen’s Green Writers and other literary groups.

Rest in Peace

Reposing at Quinns of Glasthule on Tuesday (May 27th) from 4pm to 6pm. A private Funeral Mass will take place followed by cremation. Family flowers only please. Donations, in lieu, if desired to LauraLynn Chidren’s Hospice. House private please.
