Michael Gillen

Gillen (Rosscarbery and Rosses Point, Sligo): The death has taken place of Michael (Mick) Gillen, Barrack Lane, Rosscarbery and late of Rosses Point, Co. Sligo and Hamburg, Germany. On September 15th 2023, peacefully at home and in the presence of his heart-broken partner Gabi.

Deeply regretted by his loving partner Gabi, daughter Maria, son Martin and their mother Gerda, grandchildren Pauline, Tammo & Leo, sisters Patricia (Murphy), Noeline (White) and Ann (Kavanagh).

Sadly missed by his son-in-law John, daughter-in-law Anja, brother-in-law Bob, nephews, nieces, relatives, kind neighbours and his many close and dear friends. Pre-deceased by his parents Máirtín "Kenny" and Mary, and his sisters Una (Faruki) and Mary (Finnegan).

Reposing in Shanahans Funeral Home, Leap on Friday, 22nd September from 12noon to 1pm. Funeral immediately afterwards to the Island Crematorium, Ringaskiddy for Service and cremation at 3pm which will be live streamed on http://www.islandcrematorium.ie/services/ . Family flowers only please. Donations in lieu if desired to Rosscarbery Meals On Wheels.
