MARTIN-SULLIVAN, Derrymihan, Castletownbere, Beara, Co.Cork on November 15th 2024 unexpectedly at home,
MICHAEL (Mick).
It is with deep sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Michael (Mick) Martin-Sullivan at his home, Retired Fisherman and RNLI Volunteer.
Sorely missed by his heartbroken wife Mary with whom he started his voyage over 50 years ago. Loving father to Aisling, Micheál, Killian & Rachel, as well as his sons-in-law Derek and Evan, daughter-in-law Elaine, and Killian’s partner Martina.
Adored by his precious grandchildren: Donncha, Rhys, Sadie, Isla, JD, Joey, Holly & Róisín. His siblings, Patrick, Margaret, Jim, Evelyn and Joe, sisters and brothers in law, nieces and nephews and the wider Martin-Sullivan and Holland families. Our many wonderful neighbours, friends and crew of the RNLI Annette Hutton & MFV Sea Spray.
An incredible cook, gardener, avid walker, and adventurer, Mick cherished his Camino walks in Spain, embracing life’s journeys with enthusiasm, along with his devoted wife Mary.
“When we started the voyage, there was just me and you, Now gathered round us, we have our own crew”.
Reposing in Harringtons Funeral Home, Castletownbere on Wednesday (20th) from 4.30pm to 7pm followed by removal to his home,HOUSE PRIVATE.
Requiem Mass will take place at 11am on Thursday (21st) in The Church Of The Sacred Heart, Castletownbere.
Funeral cortège will leave Michael’s home at approximately 10.30am.

Michael will make his final journey around the pier and past the RNLI station after mass.
Leaving Castletownbere at approximately 2.30pm for a service in The Island Crematorium Ringaskiddy at 5pm.
Family flowers only. In lieu of Flowers, donations to the Castletownbere RNLI will be greatly appreciated.
