Michael McCarthy

The death has occurred of Michael McCarthy, Deer Lodge, Killarney and formerly of Knockmanagh, Kilcummin, Killarney, Co Kerry, on Wednesday, 20th August 2025, peacefully in the care of UHK, palliative care unit.

Michael is predeceased by his brother Dermot. Deeply regretted by his brothers Patrick, Donal and sister Eileen, respective families, nephews, nieces, cousins and circle of friends.

Michael’s family would like to thank the staff of UHK, Palliative Care unit for their support, help and exceptional care awarded to him. A special thanks to the staff of Deer Lodge Facility, Killarney for the support and kindness shown to Michael throughout the years. It was very much appreciated.

Michael will be remembered for his generous heart and gentle spirit, forever remembered and forever loved.

Reposing at St. Bridget’s Funeral Home, Gneeveguilla (P51 T657), on Friday, 22nd August, from 5:30pm to 7:30pm, followed by removal to the Church of the Holy Rosary, Gneeveguilla.

Requiem mass for Michael will take place on Saturday, 23rd August at 11:00am, followed by burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.
