Peacefully, surrounded by his devoted and heartbroken family in the exceptional and tender care of the medical staff at Emo Court Ward, Midlands Regional Hospital Portlaoise.

Beloved husband to Joan. Loving father to David (Sligo), Alan (Fermanagh), Michael (Cork) and Louise (Offaly). Cherished grandfather to Jacob, Emma, Myla, Muireann, Siún and Aria. Deeply regretted by his loving family, brother Paddy (UK) and sister Carmel (UK). Daughters in law Donna and Aisling. Son in law Simon. Brothers in law, sisters in law, nephews, nieces, relatives, neighbours, a wide circle of friends and former colleagues of An Garda Síochána.

May his gentle soul rest in everlasting peace.

Reposing at his residence from 3pm to 8pm on Friday 21st June with rosary at 7.30pm. Removal on Saturday 22nd June to SS Peter and Paul's Church for 12 noon Requiem Mass. Cremation will follow Sunday morning 23rd June at 11am in Shannon Crematorium, Co. Clare. Family flowers only. House private on Saturday.
