Michael McGinty

The death has occurred of Michael McGinty, Glassilaun, Currane, Achill, on the 6th of January 2023, peacefully, in his 90th year, at Mayo University Hospital, Castlebar. Predeceased by his wife Kathleen, his parents John & Mary McGinty, his twin sister Kathleen, his sisters Julia, Mary (Sissy Joyce), brothers Mark, Martin & John, nephew John (London) and niece Marie. Deeply regretted by his daughters Siobhán (Julia Ann), Mary, Cathy, Michelle and son Michael John. Also missed by his son in laws Patsy & Seán and grandchildren, Cliona, Mark, Alanna, Stephen, David, Dylan & Amy and his great grandchildren, Aoife, Tegan, Kate, Alison & Tommy, his sister in law Rose and nephews, relatives and friends.

Reposing at the hospital morgue on Tuesday, 10th of January, from 2:00pm with removal at 2:30pm to Casadh an Taoille Currane F28 TF68 for reposing from 5:00pm with removal at 6:30pm to Our Lady Queen of the Universe Church (adjacent). Funeral Mass on Wednesday, the 11th of January, at 11:00am with burial afterwards in Pollranny Cemetery. Funeral Mass will be live-streamed on Muintir a Chorran Facebook page.
