Michael McLOUGHLIN

McLOUGHLIN – Michael, also known as “Young Skeff” in Manorhamilton, M.L.P. in the Munster and Leinster Bank and “Mossie” in his forays to Hartigans Leeson Street.  Michael formerly from Manorhamilton, practiced in Whitehall Rd from 1980 to 2007.  Various places of abode, Fortfield Park, Leinster Road, Rosbeg Westport and returned to Dublin in 2013 to a new life phase in Emor St.

Michael passed away peacefully in St. James’ Hospital on February 12th 2022, after a long struggle with cancer and was cared for lovingly at home during his illness as was his wish.  Will be deeply missed by his loving wife/constant companion Catherine.  Karl McGrath was of great solace to him during his illness. 

Catherine would like to thank her own immediate family for all the love and support during this time and appreciated the thoughtfulness of her neighbours during a difficult period.  Deepest sympathy to his own family and to the few contemporary stalwarts who are still chugging along.

Reposing at home on Wednesday (February 16) from 4pm to 6pm. Funeral Mass on Thursday (February 17) at 10 am in Church of the Holy Spirit, Kimmage Manor, thereafter to Mount Jerome Crematorium.
