MICHAEL (MICHÉAL) MAC SWEENEY (MAC SUIBHNE)

Mac Sweeney (Mac Suibhne) (Fountainstown, Co. Cork) On January 18th 2025, peacefully surrounded by his loving family at Cork University Hospital after a short illness, Michael (Michéal) (formerly secretary of Bord na nÓg (Rebel Óg), Past President of North Mon Past Pupils Union and member of St. Vincent de Paul, Crosshaven) beloved husband of the late Betty, much loved father of Ciaran, Finola, Orla, Michéal and the late Noel and loving brother of Phil and the late Terry, Cait, Eddie, Siobhan and (cousin) John Wall. Sadly missed by his loving family, daughters-in-law Della, Roberta and Ann, son-in-law Des, grandchildren Cillian, Ruán, Andrew, Eoin, Laura, Michael, Alan, Eileen, Patrick and Peter, great-grandchildren Amelia, Torin, Éadha, Fionn, Clodagh and Síobhra, sister-in-law Carol Cremin, nephews, nieces and extended family.

May he rest in peace.

Reposing at Forde’s Funeral Home, Old Waterpark, Carrigaline on Wednesday (22nd) from 5:00pm until 6:00pm. Requiem Mass on Thursday (23rd) at 11:00am at St. Brigids Church, Crosshaven, Co. Cork and funeral after to St. Patrick’s Cemetery, Crosshaven, Co. Cork.
