Michael (Mick) Heffernan

The death has occurred of Michael (Mick) Heffernan – Chestnut Drive, Mullingar, Co Westmeath, late of Blueball, Tullamore, Co Offaly & formerly of the 4th Garrison MPC (4th Field Artillery Regt., Columb Barracks, Mullingar) – 26 March, 2026 (peacefully) at his home, with his loving wife and family by his side.

Dearly beloved husband of Anna (Barry) and devoted father of Michelle and Mark. Mick will be very sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his family, his adored grandchildren Ella, Kevin and Caitlyn, son-in-law Eddie, brothers Seamus, Terry and Stephen, sisters Kathleen and Agnes, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, extended family, caring neighbours and good friends.

Remembering his late parents Paddy and Kathleen and all the deceased members of the Heffernan and Barry families.

Reposing at Gilsenan’s Funeral Home, Mullingar (N91 K660) on Sunday 29 March 2026 from 4 pm concluding with Prayers at 6 pm and followed by Removal to the Cathedral of Christ the King arriving at 6.30 pm.

Mick’s Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday 30 March 2026 at 1 pm and the Mass may be viewed on the live webcam on the link below. Burial afterwards in Ballyglass Cemetery.
