Michael (Mick) LERNIHAN
LERNIHAN, Michael (Mick), Mervue, Galway & Cree, Kilmihil, Co. Clare (Ex An Garda Síochána). May 5th 2019, in his 96th year, peacefully at his home following a short illness. Pre-deceased by his son Diarmuid. Beloved husband of Bridie for almost 70 years. Dearly loved father of Maura (O’Connor, Dromore West, Sligo), Una (Carley, Artane), Micheál (Mick, Shankill), Bríd (McAtarsney, Ennis), Cáit (Whelan, Mervue), Eileen (Mervue). Sadly missed by his daughters-in-law, sons-in-law, his 13 grandchildren & 7 great-grandchildren, brother Jerry Lernihan (Leitrim, Cree), sister Joan (McMahon - Leitrim Cree), sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews and extended family.
Reposing at the funeral home in the Church of the Holy Family, Mervue, Galway (H91 FH52) from 5pm to 8pm on Tues., 7th May. Requiem Mass on Wed., 8th May, at 12pm with burial afterwards in New Cemetery, Bohermore, Galway. House Private. Donations if desired to Palliative Home Care Team.
