Michael (Mick) Montcalm, Carrigtwohill and Midleton on September 28th, 2025, peacefully in the excellent care of the staff at Oaklodge Nursing Home.

Michael, husband of the late Maria (née Curran). Father of John and Catherine, grandad to Maria, Aisling, Sarah, Roisín, David, and Adam.

Deeply regretted by his son, daughter, grandchildren, and their partners.

May Michael Rest In Peace.

Michael will repose in O’Farrell’s Funeral Home, Riverside Way, Midleton, P25 X382, on Tuesday, 30th September from 5pm to 6:30pm.

Reception into Church of The Most Holy Rosary, Midleton, Wednesday, 1st October, for 2:00pm Funeral Mass, followed by private cremation at the Island Crematorium, Ringaskiddy.

Michael will be fondly remembered for his love of music, especially his skill on the accordion, as well as his remarkable talents as a mechanic, light aircraft pilot and a passionate road race motorcyclist.

The family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to the management and staff of Oaklodge Nursing Home for the exceptional care, kindness, and compassion shown to Michael during his time there.
