Michael (Mickey) CONNAUGHTON

MICHAEL (MICKEY) CONNAUGHTON Knock, Lanesborough, Co Longford. Peacefully, on 26th November 2025, at his home, surrounded by his loving family.

Devoted husband of Mamie and much loved Dad to Tracy, Sinéad and the late Murry. He will be forever missed by his heartbroken family, twin brother Seanie, brother Josie, sons-in-law Donal Hogan and Barry Hogan, adored grandchildren Ella, Lily, Daniel, Rían, Faye, Michael and Seán, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, extended family, neighbours and many good friends.

He is also predeceased by his parents Bernadette and Michael, brothers Noel, Declan and Lorcan and his sister Mary.

May Mickey rest in peace.

Reposing at the home of his daughter and son-in-law (Sinéad and Barry Hogan) at Magheraveen, Lanesborough N39 KP02 on Thursday evening from 4 o’c until 7 o’c. Removal on Friday morning arriving to St Mary’s Church, Lanesborough N39 TN99 for Mass of the Resurrection at 12 o’c. Burial afterwards in Clonbonny Cemetery.

Those attending the removal on Thursday evening are kindly asked to adhere to the traffic plan in place – approaching the Hogan family home from the Ballymahon Road and exiting via the Longford Road.

The Connaughton family would sincerely like to thank the wonderful doctors and nurses who helped care for Mickey.
