The death has occurred of
Michael ''Mickey'' Coppinger (Bowl Player)
On March 24, 2026, peacefully in the presence of his family at Bantry General Hospital. MICKEY, beloved husband of the late Emily (née Lehane), loving father of Caroline (Murphy), Aidan and Martin, dear brother of Brendan, Geraldine (Collins), the late Tony and Kieran. Sadly missed by his loving family, Ann, her son Dave and Agnes, son-in-law Norman, daughters-in-law Maria and Kim, grandchildren Emily, Ella and Kate, Lauren, Lucy, Michael and Millie, Tommy and Cal, brother-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, relatives and a large circle of friends.
May he rest in peace.
Mickey’s family would like to acknowledge and thank all the staff at Bantry General Hospital, Nua Medical Practice and Cancer Connect for the wonderful care and kindness they showed to Mickey, it is very much appreciated.
Reposing at Coakley’s Funeral Home, Chapel St, Bantry on Wednesday March 25, from 6pm to 7.30pm with vigil prayers at 7.30pm. Requiem Mass at St Finbarr’s Church, Bantry on Thursday March 26, at 2.30pm (to view live stream please click here) followed by burial in Kilcrohane Cemetery.
