Michael (Mickey) Dowd

In his ninetieth year. Unexpectedly, in the loving care of the wonderful staff at the Plunkett Home, Boyle. Very sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his dear wife, of sixty-two years, Veronica (nee Murtagh), and family Haulie, Cyril, Bernie, Paula, Ursula, Jackie, Aidan and Christy. Predeceased by his baby son Joe, sister Teresa Farrell and brother Paddy.  Also sadly missed and remembered by his daughters-in-law Helen, Ann and Geraldine and son-in-law Tony, grandchildren, brothers-in-law, sister-in-law, nephews, nieces, relatives, neighbours and friends.

Rest in Peace

Mickey’s cortège will leave his home in Moneylea at 11.30am on Monday morning (15th Feb) to arrive at the Church of the Holy Trinity, Kilmaryal, for Funeral Mass at 12 noon. Burial afterwards in Tulsk Cemetery.

Due to the current Covid 19 guidelines and social distancing protocols, and to protect the welfare of everyone dear to Mickey and his family, his Funeral Mass and burial will be restricted to family only. Those who would have liked to attend the funeral, but due to current restrictions are unable to, can leave a personal message for the Dowd family in the “condolences” section below. The family thank you for your understanding, prayers and sympathy at this sad time.
