The death has occurred of
Michael (Mickey) Rooney
Peacefully, at the North West Hospice Sligo surrounded by his loving family. Michael – EX Eircom staff. Predeceased by his parents Tommy & Alice and his sister Mary Tiernan. Beloved husband of Bridie, loving and devoted father of Stephen (Cork), Lisa (Sligo), Karen Folan (Sligo) and Mark (Sligo). Michael will be sadly missed by his loving wife, sons, daughters, brothers Sean, Tony, Kieran and Leo, sister Yvonne, grandchildren Aimee, Evan, Cian, Oisin, Theo and Sam, daughter-in-law Laura, son-in-law Bart, Mark’s partner Orla, sister-in-law Monica, brothers-in-law Michael, Frank and John Tiernan, nephews, nieces, relatives and friends.
Rest in Peace.
Reposing at the Foley and McGowan Funeral Home, Market Yard, Sligo F91 YR61 on Wednesday 19th March from 5:30pm to 7:00pm. Funeral will arrive to St. Anne’s Church, Sligo on Thursday 20th March at 11:30am for Requiem Mass followed by burial in Sligo Cemetery.
