Michael (Mickie) Geraghty

The death has occurred of Michael (Mickie) Geraghty, Crannagh, Castleblakeney, Ballinasloe, County Galway. 

Michael passed peacefully in University Hospital, Galway on the 22nd August 2021 surrounded by his loving family.

Michael, predeceased by his daughter Mary Margaret, his father Peter, mother Mary, brothers Jack, Thomas, sisters Una, Nora and Maidie. 

Michael will be dearly missed by his heartbroken wife Mary, sons Peter, Pat, Michael, Thomas, Sean, Francis and Martin, daughters Mary and Helen, sister Nancy Maloney (Menlough), and brother Peter (Boston, USA), daughters-in-law Mary, Katie, Anna, Rachel, Ann, Maeve and Áine, sons-in-law Ger and Frank, his adored grandchildren, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, grand nephews and grand nieces, relatives, neighbours and a large circle of friends. 

                             May his Gentle Soul Rest in Peace

Due to government restrictions regarding public gatherings, Michael (Mickie) will be reposing at his residence on Tuesday 24th August for family only. 

Funeral cortege for Michael (Mickie) will leave his residence on Wednesday 25th August at 11.30 to our Lady of Lourdes Church Caltra for 12.00 o'clock mass with burial afterwards to the adjoining Cemetery. 

Michael's (Mickie) Family would like to sincerely thank the staff of Saint Dominick's Ward in UCHG who provided such excellent care for him over the past week. The kindness shown will never be forgotten. 

Mass will be broadcast on the parish radio. 

The family would also like to express their sincere thanks to all their extended family, neighbours and friends for their kindness and help in every way at this sad and difficult time.
