and formerly of Muckalee, Co. Kilkenny
Mikey, in his 90th year, passed away on 5th April 2026 peacefully after a short illness, surrounded by his loving family, in the compassionate care of the staff of the Barrow Ward, St Luke's Hospital Kilkenny. Beloved husband of Kay (Walsh) and much loved father of Ivan, Mehaul, Marianne and infant Michelle born sleeping. Mikey will be deeply missed by his heartbroken family, brother Shem, sister Kathleen (Larkin), daughter-in-law Dorota, son-in-law Jonas, brothers-in-law, sisters-in law, nephews, nieces, extended family, neighbours and wide circle of friends.
Predeceased by his parents Michael and Annie, his sister Bridget (Johnston) and his brother Johnny.

Reposing in Johnston's Funeral Home, John's Green, Kilkenny (R95XE00) on Wednesday (8th April) from 5pm to 7pm with Prayers at 6.30pm.
Requiem Mass on Thursday morning at 11am in St. Brendan's Church, Muckalee, Kilkenny. (R95R594)
Interment afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.
