O’Brien (Killickane, Mitchelstown) On July 18th, 2021, peacefully, in the wonderful care of all at Marymount Hospice, Cork, MICHAEL (M B O'Brien Transport). Beloved son of the late Michael & Margaret (nee McGrath) and loving brother of Mairead (Gorey), Con, Rory, Mary (Spain), Dominic, John, Ann (Pennsylvania, USA) and Carmel (Schull). Sadly missed by his loving family, aunt Kathleen Fitzgibbon, brothers-in-law Pat, John, Doug and Denis, sisters-in-law Kelly, Monica, Deirdre and Margaret, nephews, nieces, grandnieces, grandnephews, relatives, neighbours and friends.

In an effort to follow best practices and guidelines regarding COVID-19, Michael’s funeral will take place privately. We thank you for your understanding at this difficult time. Please use the “Condolences” section below to leave a personal message or send a condolence card by the traditional manner. Michael’s funeral cortege will travel via Killickane, Brigown, Mulberry Road and Church Road on it’s way to the Church of Mary Conceived Without Sin, Mitchelstown for Requiem Mass at 12 noon on Thursday (22nd July).  Burial afterwards in Brigown New Cemetery.
