Michael O'Regan

It is with profound sadness that we announce the unexpected passing of Michael (Mike “The Fig”) O’Regan, Ballyguyroe, Shanballymore, on Monday, 6th April 2026.

 

Son of the late Michael and recently deceased Ann O'Regan, Clogher, and brother-in-law of the late Maura (New York).

 

Deeply regretted by his heartbroken family, his son Jack and his partner Sinéad, his daughter Lynn and her partner Michael, his brothers Eamonn, Declan, Brendan and Don, his sisters Eleanor (McMillan, Kildorrery), Marion (Bate, Mullingar) and Annette (Walsh, Grenagh), his sisters-in-law Serena, Siobhán and Janine, his brothers-in-law Cameron, Mark and Andrew, his nieces and nephews, grandnephew, his aunt Trish (Redmond, Fermoy and her husband John), his uncle Seán (Dennehy, Kildorrery), granduncle Dick Cross, his beloved cousins, relatives, neighbours and his countless friends.

The family wish to express their heartfelt thanks to all who assisted at the scene and to those who stopped to help.

Sincere thanks to An Garda Síochána, especially Garda Aoife McCarthy, the Fire Brigade, especially Jonathan Madden, the Air Ambulance Response Unit and paramedics for their care, professionalism and compassion.

The family are especially grateful to Fr. Gerard Condon for his support and prayers, and to the Lenihan family for their exceptional kindness in facilitating access, and for providing refreshments and comfort at such a difficult time.
