Peacefully and surrounded by his family, after a short illness borne with immense bravery and his usual stoicism, in the truly exceptional care of the staff at Our Lady’s Hospice, Harold’s Cross. He will be sadly missed by his beloved wife Mary, son Ciaran, daughter Cliodhna, cherished grandson Conor, daughter-in-law Fiona, son-in-law John, John’s children Jessica and David, relatives, neighbours and many friends. Michael will be fondly remembered by those in his amateur dramatic groups, former work and trade union colleagues and everyone throughout Leinster Cricket, especially in Pembroke C.C.

Reposing at Fanagan's Funeral Home, Willbrook, Rathfarnham, on Tuesday (21st December) between 5pm and 7pm. A celebration of Michael’s life will be held on Wednesday (22nd December) at 10.00am in the Victorian Chapel, Mount Jerome, Harold’s Cross followed by cremation. In tears we saw you sinking,
We watched you fade away,
